10 STF personnel positive for Covid-19: Three STF camps isolated

Three camps of the Police Special Task Force (STF) have been isolated after a group of STF personnel attached to the VIP security Unit have been contracted with Covid-19, STF Commandant DIG Waruna Jayasundara said.

Accordingly, STF camps in Kelaniya, Rajagiriya and Kalubowila have been isolated.

It was reported that at least ten personnel were positive for the virus.

It is suspected that they contracted the virus at the Peliyagoda Fish Market as they went there to get fish for the camps. (DSB)
