Charitha Herath as COPE Chairman



Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Professor Charitha Herath has been elected as the Chairman of the Committee On Public Enterprises (COPE) today.

His name was proposed by Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage and was seconded by Minister Jayantha Samaraweera.

The newly appointed members of the COPE as announced by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardane on September 11 are Ministers Mahinda Amaraweera, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Rohitha Abeygunawardane, Susil Premajayantha, Jayantha Samaraweera, Dilum Amunugama, Indika Anuruddha Herath, Sarath Weerasekara, D. V. Chanaka, Nalaka Godahewa, Ajith Nivard Cabraal, MPs Rauff Hakeem, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Patali Champika Ranawaka, Jagath Pushpakumara, Eran Wickramaratne, Ranjan Ramanayake, Nalin Bandara, S.M.
