Govt. to grant low-interest loan for people during upcoming festive season
The Government has decided to provide low-interest loan schemes for every family to meet their expenses during the upcoming festive season.
The President's Media Division said in a statement that the loan facilities will be provided under three categories.
Accordingly, as the first scheme, people who earn a monthly income of Rs.50,000 or more can apply for a Rs. 50,000 loan.
As the second scheme, Rs. 25,000 loans can be obtained for the people who get an income between Rs. 25, 000 to Rs.50, 000.
As the third scheme, Rs.10, 000 loans could be obtained for the people if their income is less than Rs.25,000.
The relevant loan amount will be provided from the Bank of Ceylon (BoC), National Savings Bank (NSB), Regional Development Bank and Samurdhi Bank.
