The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) today issued landslide warnings in three districts as rainy conditions continued.

Warnings were issued to the Kalutara, Kegalle and Galle Districts since the rainfall within the past 24 hours has exceeded 75mm as of today.

“If the rain continued, one has to be watchful on the possibility of landslides, slope failures, rock falls, cutting failures and ground subsidence,” the NBRO warning said.
