Ranjan gets credit pass for O/L English

Former MP Ranjan Ramanayake, who sat for the 2019 GCE Ordinary Level examination, has got a 'C' for English.

Ranjan Ramanayake said in his Facebook that he is now qualified to study law.

In order to obtain the minimum requirement to study law, earlier, Ramanayake also sat for GCE Advanced Level examination and obtained simple passes for political science and mass media while obtaining a distinction for general English and 50 marks for general knowledge.

However, he had failed in Christianity.

At least he studied, sat for the exam like everyone else. Not like the privileged who gets marks and doctorate by courier.

Like Ranjan, Buddhist monks who did not have opportunity to study should be given opportunity to study. When Buddhist monks are educated, they will make wise decision. Not only Buddhist monks but also other religious clerics should also persuade their education beyond religion

Obtaining a C is a credit? Then who the children who's got 9 As as best results? In a A B C grading system, C is a simple pass. Either the candidate is mad or the media is triple mad.
