Travel restrictions imposed for Galagedara East GS Division
Travel restrictions have been imposed in Galagedara East Grama Niladhari Division in Padukka, Padukka Medical Officer of Health Dumithra Kahangama said.
He said that the decision was taken following the death of a Covid-19 infected person at Arukwatta in Padukka.
The area PHI said the 74-year-old man had died at home and he tested positiver for Covid-19 following a PCR test conducted at Avissawella Hospital.
He said PCR tests were conducted on 40 close contacts of the victim’s family today and that a decision would be taken whether to isolate the area after receiving the PCR reports.
