Two deaths at NHC, test Covid-19 positive
Two more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported from the National Hospital in Colombo today.
Health Ministry Spokesman Dr. Jayaruwan Bandara said the demise of a 77 and 78-year-old - both males and had been reported as sudden deaths.
He said the 78-year-old had died due to an injury to his head, while the other victim died at home.
The PCR tests conducted on their bodies confirmed they had COVID-19, Dr. Bandara said.
However, he said it was uncertain whether the two deaths were caused by COVID-19.
