Ishara’s LOLC becomes third one billion dollar company on CSE

Dynamic business leader Ishara Nanayakkara-controlled LOLC Holdings PLC yesterday became the third US$ 1 billion company on the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), behind John Keells Holdings PLC and Ceylon Tobacco Company PLC.

 As at yesterday’s market close, LOLC Holdings’ market capitalization was Rs.198, 277, 200, 000.00, accounting for 5.25 percent of CSE’s total market cap.

When the Central Bank’s indicative rate of Rs.196.15 per US dollar is applied, the market cap of LOLC Holdings amounts to US$ 1.01 billion.

LOLC Holdings share yesterday closed at Rs.417.25, up by Rs.36 or 9.44 percent. The company has 475.2 million issued shares.
