Forty-three Pakistani prisoners convicted of drug offences in Sri Lanka were deported to Islamabad in Pakistan from the Bandaranaike International Airport on a special flight last morning.
An airport official said that the prisoners were convicted by the Sri Lankan High Court and were in various prisons for a period of 10 to 15 years.
The Pakistani government had sent a special aircraft with 86 security personnel to the BIA last night to fly them back to their native country.
