Democratic Party leader Sarath Fonseka said today about 10,000 books titled “Prabhakaran yali Upadi” had been printed in a press in Nugegoda slinging mud at him.

He said the book included some statements made by him in the past.

Mr. Fonseka said the police had not searched the press as yet saying that a court order had not been issued to do so.

Mr. Fonseka said they had lodged a complaint with the Mirihana police in this regard and hoped to file a Fundamental Rights petition in the Supreme Court.
He also said they would complain to the Human Rights Commission as well.(Sanath Desmond)

general sarath fonseka"s army killed,raped thousands of un armed civilians.he did not punish any army man for any crimes.sinhalese girls also raped by army men countless times,but this general did not do any action against these army criminals when he was army commander.what kind of good leadership country can expect from him while he did not able to lead the army according to army rules ?.

Looks like for your comments that you have contract from somebody or else you are just ignorant. Although some do not admit now SF IS THE REAL HERO. From the inside stories we heard we know how brave he was and how conducted the war. DEAR SF YOU ARE THE HERO. By printing mud slinging books, they cannot change that. You live in our FOREVER

Why didn't the King take action, well before May 2009 if his brother was the star and no need of SF as army commander ? The answer tells that SF was the real war hero if not for him the war wouldn't have been completed by the so called star. We must be grateful to SF for ever.

Yet, the Police spokesman says there is no law to act against the printer etc or to inspect the press. How would they act, if the complaint had been from a government politician or from the Family?

The general public needs to be educated on what is really going on in the country. The lack of Judicial Freedom, media freedom,and of transperancy in the country is not good for the Sri Lankans.
The State Armed forces should not work /ACT against its law abiding citizens. The rampant corruption and bribery need to be rein in.

When you have a awful record of governance, with nothing positive done for the benefit of the people, the alternative you have is to talk ill of the opposition.
When the General was in the forefront in the midst of terrorist bullets these guys were in luxury in their air-conditioned mansions enjoying life. Now they talk shamelessly slinging mud at this great patriot who won the war for us.
To say the least you guys stink.
