Fuel station attendant shot dead to rob cash

A 27-year-old pump attendant was killed when he was shot at by two gunmen who arrived on a motorbicycle to rob a fuel station in Polgahawela on Saturday night, police said.  

They said the gunmen had shot at a pump attendant at the fuel station at Kahawatte Ela at around 12.15 a.m Saturday night.  The victim, resident of Aranayaka succumbed to his wounds after being admitted to the Polgahawela Hospital.  

Police investigations are underway to arrest the suspects.
