Over 100 whales beached at Panadura

More than 100 whales have beached along the Panadura coast yesterday evening , the Panadura police confirmed.

An operation has been launched by the Sri Lanka Police and the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to safely guide these whales back to sea.  A similar phenomenon was witnessed in Sampur several years ago.
