Sri Lanka Humanity Party to be registered with EC

A new political party Sri Lanka Humanity Party (SLHP) is to be registered with the Election Commission soon and the intended symbol of the party is the pen, one of its founders Dr. Chandima Wijegunawardana said yesterday.   

“Ours is a unique party as we don’t have an intention of capturing political power but to establish a national consensus to resolve issues faced by Sri Lanka at present. We want to become a platform where all parties can come together and establish a national plan to make Sri Lanka a developed nation. Sri Lanka has not achieved development since becoming an independent nation in 1948,” she said.
