Colombo, June 07 (Daily Mirror)- More than 30 train services have been cancelled today due to the strike launched by the Sri Lanka Railways Locomotive Operating Engineers’ Union, since midnight yesterday, the Control Rooms sources said.

Altogether 32 services scheduled to run this morning have been cancelled as of 13.00 pm.

The Trade Union stated that the strike was launched due to issues in the promotions of locomotive drivers, and continuous delays in recruitment.

However, the Railways Department announced that the services could be restored by afternoon today.
