41 more officers at Borella Police test positive for Covid-19

Forty-one more officers at the Borella Police Station have been contracted with Covid-19. A total of 56 officers of the Borella Police Station have been diagnosed with the virus as of today.

Accordingly, over 200 officers within the Police Department contracted with Covid-19 as of now.

Meanwhile, 14 people at a housing scheme at Mattakkuliya have also been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.
 
In addition, 23 more employees of Horana Bodyline apparel factory tested positive for Covid-19 reporting the total number of patients of the factory 57.
 
A total of 409 Covid-19 patients reported yesterday, and 146 of them reported from the Gampaha district, 122 from the Colombo district, 47 from the Kalutara district and 12 each from the Kegalle and Ratnapura districts.
 
Also, 19 patients from Galle, seven from Kurunegala, five each from Hambantota, Ampara and Batticaloa, three from Puttalam, two each from Matale and Nuwara Eliya and a patient from Moneragala districts were reported.

Ten cases were also reported within the Police and eight cases from quarantine centres
