60th session of International Coconut Community to be held in Sri Lanka

Colombo, May 28 (Daily Mirror) - The 60th Session and Ministerial Meeting of the International Coconut Community are proposed to be held in Sri Lanka this year.

Cabinet Minister Bandula Gunawardana said today that the International Coconut Community meeting will be held in Sri Lanka to achieve the objectives of increasing foreign exchange earnings, promoting the Sri Lankan coconut industry among member countries, and improving cooperation among key stakeholders in the coconut sector. 

Accordingly, the session and ministerial meeting will be held in Colombo in November this year using the income earned by the Coconut Development Authority and the contributions of several private institutions in the coconut sector.
