A seven-member National Sports Selection Committee chaired by Chief of Defence Staff General Shavendra Silva has been appointed by the Minister of Sports Roshan Ranasinghe.
Arjun Rishya Fernando has been appointed as the Secretary to the Committee while Consultant Surgeon Dr. Maiya Gunasekera, Prasanna Chandith, Sanath Jayasuriya, National Olympics Committee Secretary Maxwell de Silva and Thilaka Jinadasa are appointed as its members. (DSB)
