Police said that the victim, a resident of the Saranankara area, was attacked while riding his motorcycle. He was subsequently admitted to the Colombo South Teaching Hospital but died while receiving treatment.
Police suspect that this shooting may be connected to previous incidents in Dehiwala on September 15 and a Kohuwala shooting incident on Wednesday, which resulted in two fatalities.
