Basil Rajapaksa who is heading the high-powered Presidential Task Force for Economic Revival and Poverty Eradication during the COVID-19 pandemic, last night left the country for the United States, the Daily Mirror learns.
Rajapaksa urgently left the island to reach in time for the arrival of his grand child.
He is expected to return back to the country in the first week of June. (JAMILA HUSAIN)
