Colombo, July 08 (Daily Mirror) -  The car used in the Athurugiriya shooting this morning has been found abandoned at Korathota in Kaduwela.

Two persons, including 55-year-old Surendra Wasantha Perera alias 'Club Wasantha,' were killed and four persons, including singer K. Sujeewa, have been hospitalised following the shooting at Oruwala Junction in Athurugiriya, police said.

Singer Sujeewa and another male are currently receiving treatment at the National Hospital in Colombo while two injured women are undergoing treatment at the Homagama Hospital.

Police said that two gunmen with T56 assault rifles had in a car for the shooting and opened fire on a group attending the opening of a Tattoo Studio on the second floor of a two-story building in Athurugiriya this morning.

It was revealed that Club Wasantha and K. Sujeewa were among the invitees at the opening.
