Chicken prices reduced by Rs. 40

Colombo, March 20 (Daily Mirror) - According to the Narahenpita Economic Centre, the retail price of a kilo of chicken has been reduced by Rs. 30, a senior official of the centre said.

After the price reduction, the price of a kilo of fresh chicken at the Narahenpita Economic Centre is Rs. 1,180, Rs. 1,100 for curry chicken, and skinless chicken is being sold at a price of Rs. 1,100.

He said a kilo of beef was at Rs. 2,400 and a kilo of mutton at Rs. 3,300.
