China donates over Rs. 30 million as relief funds

Colombo, October 22 - The government of China donated over Rs. 30 million in emergency humanitarian relief funds, to help people affected by the recent floods in Sri Lanka.

The funds were handed over to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake by Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Qi Zhenhong

“Chinese government and people share the feelings with Sri Lankan people. China believes that under the leadership of President Anura Dissanayake, the Sri Lankan government and people will be able to overcome the disaster and tide over the difficulties,” a statement said.
