Colombo Development Symposium presents the Future of the Sri Lankan Economy

The Colombo Development Symposium presenting, the Future of the Sri Lankan Economy will kick off in Colombo tomorrow with Secretary to the President Dr. P. B. Jayasundera delivering the keynote address, focusing on charting the country’s path forward following the reading of the National Budget for the year 2022.

The Symposium will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo on the 15th of November 2021.

The keynote address will be followed by a panel discussion including Secretary to the Treasury Mr. S.R.
Attygalle, World Bank Country Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives Ms. Chiyo Kanda, Asian Development
Bank Country Director Mr. Chen Chen, Information and Communication Technology Agency Chairman Mr.
Oshada Senanayake and Sri Lanka Apparel Brands Association Chairman Mr. Lalantha Watudura.

This forum will shed light on key areas such as agro-industrialization, digitalization, import replacement,
and a production-based economy, as major drivers that will reset the economy and make Sri Lanka a
poverty-free, advanced middle-income country in Asia.
