Colombo, September 22 (Daily Mirror) - Daily Mirror reliably learns that the Election Commission will begin the counting of second and third preferential votes and the announcement of the winner is likely to be delayed till later today or early tomorrow.
The gap between NPP presidential candidate Anura Kumara and SJB presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa is closing in and since it is expected that the AKD will not reach 50.1 percent, the counting of the second and third preferential will have to take place.
