Colombo, Jan 03 (Daily Mirror) - The Sri Lanka Customs Revenue Task Force last evening seized a gift pack containing a cannabis variety Hashish worth over Rs. 61 million sent from Italy, the Customs spokesman said.
The Customs officials at a private cargo clearing yard in Seeduwa checked the package, which had arrived via courier service addressed to a recipient in Homagama.
The gift pack, which had been declared as food items had contained over four kilograms of the narcotic drug.
An agent who arrived to clear the contraband was arrested by the Customs and handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) for further investigations.
