Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Dehiwala-Mt. Lavinia Organizer and former Mayor Danasiri Amaratunga accused the government leaders for not inviting him for the foundation stone laying ceremony for the new flyover at the Kohuwala junction.

In a Facebook post, he said Highways Minister Johnston Fernando and a Minister from a foreign country attended the event and that he was not invited to the function despite being the Chief Organiser in that area.

"I am the chief organiser of the Dehivala electorate. But, no one invited me to the event. I was not even aware of it. We strove to form this government. It is regrettable that the high ranking leaders of the government have forgotten us now," he said.

He said in the post that he still has great respect and honour for Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
