According to the Commissioner General of Elections Saman Sri Ratnayake, the marking of postal votes will take place over three days, from September 4 to September 6. Specifically, September 4 has been designated for postal voting at District Secretariats, Election Offices, and Police stations.
The issuance and delivery of postal ballots are set to begin on August 26.
Furthermore, the commission has reserved September 11 and 12 as alternative dates for those who are unable to cast their postal votes during the initial period.
