Debate on debt restructuring postponed

Colombo, July 1 (Daily Mirror) - The debate on the agreement which Sri Lanka has singed with creditor nations on the debt restructuring process which was to begin tomorrow in Parliament has been postponed.

The Parliament Communications Unit said party leaders decided not to take up the debate on the debt restructure process when they met today.

However President Ranil Wickremesinghe is expected to make a special statement in the House. 

Also it has been decided not hold sessions on Wednesday as a mark of respect to TNA MP R. Sampathan. His remains are to be brought to Parliament on Wednesday for the MPs to pay their last respect.
