Colombo, July 16 (Daily Mirror) - The naval and fishing communities are advised not to venture out to sea till further notice due to the active south-west monsoonal condition, the Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre of the Meteorology Department said.

They said that the above-mentioned communities must be prevented from venturing out to the sea areas marked by a red color on the map until further notice.

Very strong winds, about 80 kmph, and very rough seas are likely over the Arabian Sea area and Bay of Bengal.

Therefore, those who are out in the aforementioned sea regions are advised to return to the coasts or move to safer areas immediately.

Meanwhile, the fishing and naval communities are requested to be attentive to future forecasts issued. by the Meteorology Department in this regard.
