Efficient healthcare services ensured during festive season: Health Ministry

Colombo, April 14 (Daily Mirror) Health authorities have been instructed by Health Minister Ramesh Pathirana to take necessary steps to ensure efficient and continuous healthcare services during the festive season, Health Secretary Palitha Maheepala said.

Accidents, incidents of food poisoning and non-communicable diseases are usually on the rise during the festive season.

Dr. Maheepala said all steps have been taken to provide prompt services to patients who are admitted to hospitals due to accidents, incidents of food poisoning and non-communicable diseases.

He said ambulance services are also on standby for twenty-four hours to provide services in cases of emergency.
