Katunayaka, October 23 (Daily Mirror) - The emergency declared at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) following the bomb threat was called off after no explosives were found on the Indian Vistara passenger flight that arrived from Mumbai.
First, passengers and crew on board the plane were checked and escorted out. Then, the baggage storage area of the aircraft was inspected.
The A-320 flight landed at the BIA at 2:56 p.m., carrying 108 passengers and eight crew members.
Following the bomb threat, the aircraft was moved for a thorough security inspection.
