The employees of Brandix Garment factory in Minuwangoda had worked extra hours to get their payments increased despite having symptoms such as fever, Minister of Public Security Sarath Weerasekara told Parliament yesterday.
“It has also been found that workers at the factory continued to work despite having fever. They have worked after taking paracetamol tablets to earn extra even without informing the management,” the Minister said in response to a question raised by Jathika Jana Balawegaya Mpanura Kumara
