Former PMD Director General allegedly threatens photographer

Colombo, November 13 (Daily Mirror) - The Kahathuduwa Police launched an investigation following a complaint filed by a photographer from the Presidential Media Division (PMD), alleging that he was receiving threatening phone calls from the former Director General of the PMD. 

The complaint comes after several items, including a drone camera, were reported missing from the PMD. 

The missing equipment was discovered during a search conducted at the division’s facilities after President Anura Kumara Dissanayake assumed office. An internal audit has also been initiated to investigate imto the matter.

During the ongoing investigations the photographer reported receiving threats from the former Director General, who allegedly claimed to know that the photographer had been providing information regarding the missing equipment.
