Four accused sentenced to death by Balapitiya HC over murder in 2005

Balapitiya, Nov 23 (Daily Mirror) - The Balapitiya High Court imposed death sentences on four individuals over the murder of a man and injuring another at Pitigala in 2005. 

Following an extensive trial, the court issued the verdict yesterday, police said.

They said the four convicted individuals who are residents of Dehiwala, Moratuwa and Polonnaruwa, were found guilty of hacking one man to death and causing injuries to another. 

The crime took place during an unlawful meeting at Amugoda in Pitigala in 2005.
