Former Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila has resigned from the post of Chairman of the Seethawaka Regional Coordinating Committee with immediate effect.
He has tendered his letter of resignation to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today.
"I would like to thank you for appointing me as the Chairman of the Seethawaka Regional Coordinating Committee. "Since I have been removed from the post of Minister of Energy, it is inappropriate to remain in the above post which is an executive position, " the MP informed further in his letter to the President.(DSB)
