Go for dialogue with MR once more, Deputy Speaker tells President

Colombo, July 31 (Daily Mirror)- Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapaksa has informed President Ranil Wickremesinghe to go for a dialogue with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and try to obtain the full support of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).

In a media statement the Deputy Speaker said he had personally made this request from President Wickremesinghe.

"I told the President that he will surely win the Presidential election, but his victory might me greater if he obtains the support of the Rajapaksas and that former President Rajapaksa is an understanding person and he will fully support him," the Deputy Speaker added.

He said there are several other SLPP members who also hold the same view.
