State Minister for Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya says that a systematic programme has been prepared to streamline the payment of taxes by fixing the existing weaknesses and shortcomings in the current tax collection, and it is to be presented to the President next week.

The minister stated this while speaking to the media in Ruwanwella this morning.

The minister also said that in order to make the tax system more efficient, the electronic system will be implemented through the implementation of the RAMIS project, which has been going on for many years.

Also, the Minister said that since there is a big delay due to the lack of a separate Court for tax matters, it has been proposed to establish a separate Court for tax matters.
