Grade five scholarship school cutoff marks released

Based on the results of the 2022 grade five scholarship examination, the education ministry today issued cutoff marks for students to enroll in grade six.

Accordingly, the cut-off marks for the Sinhala and Tamil mediums have been released.

Students can check the schools that they have been selected for via https://g6application.moe.gov.lk/#/.

For boys schools, Royal College of Colombo requires 182 marks as the cutoff for enrolling in grade six. Dharmaraja College and Kingswood College in Kandy need 180 and 177 points, respectively, to enroll in grade six. Ananda Vidyalaya, Colombo, needs 179 marks.

For girls schools like Vishaka Vidyalaya, Colombo require 181 as the cutoff mark to enter grade six. Devi Balika Balika Vidyalaya requires 178 marks, Maliyadewa Balika Vidyalaya requires 177 marks, Mahamaya Vidyalaya, Kandy Girls' High School, and Pushpadana Vidyalaya in Kandy require 176, 171, and 166

The Ministry also mentioned that the students who wish to submit appeals with regard to the cut-off marks will be allowed to do so online, and that the time period to submit them will be notified later.

Students who have not received a school or who want to change the school they have received due to other reasonable reasons will be provided with facilities to submit appeals online, and the deadline for submitting appeals will be notified later.

All appeal applications can be sent to the Ministry online starting May 1. Delivered or forwarded appeal applications will be rejected. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
