Head of State Intelligence Service Major General Suresh Sallay has been summoned to the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) today over the recent unrest at Galle Face and other areas.
Also, Commissioner General of Prisons Thushara Upuldeniya and several officials have been summoned by HRCSL to inquire into allegations that a group of inmates at the Watareka Prison were used to attack protesters on May 9.
Meanwhile, Western Province Senior DIG Deshabandu Thennakoon has been summoned before the Commission tomorrow to inquire about the unrest near Temple Trees and Galle Face Green last Monday.
The Commission yesterday summoned the IGP and commander of the Army over the matter.(DSB)
