The Health Trade Unions have decided to launch a major token strike at all government hospitals on Thursday (03) over several concerns including the recent circular issued by the Health Ministry Secretary advising public employees not to release information to the media.
President of the Federation of Health Professionals Ravi Kumudesh told the Daily Mirror that the health authorities have failed to address some serious concerns pertaining to the health sector despite the ample time to iron them out.
“Having taken all these into consideration, we are launching the strike on Thursday, insisting the government to take swift measures to address the grave issues such as shortage of drugs, quality of medicines etc,” he added.
