Heat advisory raised to caution level in 18 districts

Colombo, March 9 (Daily Mirror)- The heat index, the temperature felt on the human body is expected to increase up to ‘Caution Level’ in 18 districts including Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara districts tomorrow, the Meteorology Department announced today. 

The department said the heat index, the temperature felt on the human body is expected to increase up to ‘Caution Level’ at some places in the Western, North-Western, Southern, Northern and North-Central Provinces and in the Moneragala, Ratnapura and Trincomalee districts.

According to the heat advisory issued by the Meteorology Department, 'Caution Level’ heat index was expected only in 13 districts today, which included the North-Western, Southern and North-Central Provinces and the Moneragala, Ratnapura, Mannar, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu and Trincomalee districts.
