Badulla , August 22 (Daily Mirror )- Aheavy influx of foreign and local tourists is being experienced at the historic Nine Arch bridge in Demodara on the upcountry railway line.
Residents of the area attributed this to the increasing tourist arrivals in the country and the school holidays.
The Nine Arch bridge is a main tourist attraction in the up-county.
The Nine Arch bridge built in 1921 during British rule in Sri Lanka is 300 ft long and 80 ft high.
It is a cynosure of the tourists for its exceptional architectural design and added to it is the scenic beauty of the lovely and attractive surroundings.
