Heavy showers on the cards in multiple provinces

Colombo, April 13 (Daily Mirror) -  The Meteorology Department has issued a weather advisory forecasting heavy showers of about 75 mm in some areas of the Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts. 

Residents in these regions are advised to take necessary precautions to mitigate any potential damages caused by the downpour.

Furthermore, several spells of light showers are expected in the Northern and Eastern Provinces, with showers or thundershowers forecast in a few places in the North-Central, Central and Uva Provinces, as well as several other areas of the island after 2:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, misty conditions may prevail in certain areas of the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva Provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts during the morning hours.

Moreover, with the apparent northward relative motion of the sun, it is set to be directly overhead the latitudes of Sri Lanka from the 5th to the 15th of April this year. 

Today, on the 13th, the sun will be directly over Kumulamunai, Murikandi, Keridamadu and Tanniyatttu around 12:10 noon.
