Anuradhapura, March 9 (Daily Mirror) - Three male youths were killed and two other women injured after they were run over by a speeding cab at Rambewa in Anuradhapura early this morning, Police said.
They said the victims were returning home after a musical show when they were knocked down by a cab travelling from Rambewa towards Anuradhapura.
The cab driver fled after the accident and the injured were admitted to the Rambewa and Anuradhapura hospitals.
Three male youths aged between 16 and 21 succumbed to their injuries while two females are receiving treatment at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.
The Mihintale Police are investigating into the incident.
