Veteran cinema artiste Jackson Anthony in his message extending support to the ‘non-partisan youth struggle’, expressed hope that it will not be another defeated insurrection but a triumphant revolution.
In a Facebook post, Anthony said that he has been in a deep political silence since 2016 due to the frustration over local politics. “I have been a non-partisan artist since, then,” he stated.
"I have been in complete political silence since 2016 and not voicing since then. I didn't contribute through my word or a penny to nurture the 6.9 million (voters). Hence, I have silenced my voice since 2016 and it was due to the frustration(in politically)."
"I have been a non-partisan artist since then and therefore, I sincerely hope that this youth struggle, which has no political affiliations, shouldn't be another deflated balloon, but a revolution coupled with success" he added.(SJ)
