Inspector General of Police C.D. Wickramaratne has been appointed as a member of the National Sports Council by Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe.
Accordingly, the IGP received the letter of appointment today from the Minister for a period of three years.
After accepting the new appointment, a discussion was held to strengthen the sports anti-corruption unit to prevent the corruption of sports through bribery, the Sports Ministry said. (DSB)
