Boossa (Daily Mirror) - An inmate of the Boossa High Security Prison destroyed 23 CCTV cameras installed in the prison.
The inmate, 32, is an underworld member.
The prison authorities have lodged a complaint with the Rathgama Police regarding the incident.
According to police, when the prisoner was taken out of the cell for some sunlight and ventilation, the inmate had climbed on the wall and destroyed the CCTV cameras installed inside and outside the cell where he is being held.
There are 13 cases pending before courts against the inmate related to drug trafficking and extortion.
