Colombo, August 03 (Daily Mirror) - The incumbent government, led by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, has issued a significant number of liquor and gun licenses to Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MPs, claimed Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara.
According to Dayasiri Jayasekara, over 1,200 liquor permits have been given to the MPs.
“The SLPP MPs also have the liberty to access all kinds of guns, starting from Rs 300,000,” he said.
“This type of action cannot be condoned. This is how Ranil Wickremesinghe has been wooing SLPP MPs,” he added.
Meanwhile, Dayasiri Jayasekara alleged that the present government has distributed funds worth over Rs. 30 million (per house) to those MPs whose houses were vandalized.
