Colombo, September 4 (Daily Mirror) - The order on an application filed on behalf of former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, requesting that he be released on bail, was once again postponed to October 3 by the Court of Appeal.

Keheliya Rambukwella, who is currently held in remand custody in connection with the alleged import of substandard Immunoglobulin injections, had filed a writ application seeking an order for his release on bail.

The order on whether the court would grant bail to Keheliya was scheduled to be delivered today.

However, the Court of Appeal's two-judge bench, comprising Justice (President) Nissanka Bandula Karunaratne and Justice Shashi Mahendran, postponed the delivery of the order to October 3.

In his writ petition, Keheliya Rambukwella alleged that the Maligakanda Magistrate had refused to grant bail to him on several occasions and had made remand orders without reasonable grounds.
