Kelaniya University Students’ Union president arrested

BIA, Feb 26 (Daily Mirror) - Kelum Mudannayake, the president of the Kelaniya University Students' Union, has been taken into custody by the Public Complaints Division of the Criminal Investigation Department. 

Police said he was arrested in connection with a recent incident of ragging at the university.

They said that Mudannayake had been avoiding the police and was intercepted while attempting to depart from the Katunayake Airport. 

He is scheduled to be produced before the Mahara Magistrate's Court.
